Encouraging the change we want to see

Making life better

WUW has been working since 2009 supporting community projects at home and around the world

Wood U Waste is an award winning charity formed in the Stroud district in 2009 to make wooden briquettes from local waste sawdust to help hard to heat homes . Its success paid testimony to the many organisations, community groups and individuals who worked with us.

In the last 16 years WUW has extended its reach to work in France and various countries in Africa. Projects have concentrated on reducing waste, using natural resources such as water and sun energy and providing sustainable food sources through care for the natural local environment.

We continue to evolve and to seek innovative partnerships in the UK with charities and community groups who share our values.

Community meals – come and eat with us!

There is an incredible amount of surplus food available in South East London, particularly fresh vegetables and bread. WUW is busy transforming this unwanted food into delicious meals to be served in the community. Contact us if you would like to arrange a community meal for your organisation.

When our world is in balance, it is healthy. Everything that comes from the earth, returns to the earth and contributes to new life. This cycle is key to healthy ecosystems, and a healthy world.
